Basics of Data-Driven Problem Solving

In the Data-driven Problem Solving Basic Training, you will learn to appreciate data analysis for robust decision-making and sustainable problem solving. You will practice the typical steps in problem-solving processes using real-world examples with statistical software. All approaches can be directly transferred to your business environment.

Fundamentals

  • You learn important concepts and terminology related to decision-making and problem solving

Process qualification

  • You learn how to qualify data-generating and manufacturing processes according to state-of-the-art standards

You will apply various methods to data to arrive at problem solutions

Data Analysis

  • You learn to conduct statistical hypothesis tests
  • You learn to analyze data graphically and numerically

Process improvement

  • You learn how to apply design of experiments in practice

Statistical process control

  • You learn how to control processes using statistical methods
  • You will demonstrate your knowledge through a final exam
